Going To Court

Organize All Documents

Whether or not you retain an attorney, you should always organize all documents. If you are arrested for DWI-DUI in New Jersey, such documents include: summonses (tickets), Alcohol Influence Report (AIR) if you were tested on an Alcotest 7110, and all the forms that you may have filled out in custody. If you do not retain an attorney, you will be communicating with the court. So if you telephone the court to ask any questions, I recommend you take notes on when you called, whom you spoke to, and what you discussed. Having written records often helps you in court.
